Photoblog: Food Galore

Day 1

We had dimsum for lunch the first day we arrived in Vegas. I forgot the name of the place though but I think it’s Chang’s restaurant or something. Anyway, the food were being served in carts. It’s like the servers roam around the place stopping table per table with their designated carts and if you saw something that you like just point it out and they’ll serve it on your table. Very much like the Pinoy’s “turo-turo”. *heh*  I really enjoyed the food. It was delicious and very affordable.

The main reason why we went to Vegas was ‘cause of the Balian Festival. It’s basically the annual gathering of my Dad’s kababayans (my dad’s from Balian, Laguna) to celebrate the feast of their patron saint San Marcos. Anyway, dinner was served buffet style. And pictured below was my dinner. The food was okay but didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. Lol. Paid more than the typical buffet rate in Vegas for this dinner but I still had to pay extra for the soda ‘cause apparently the soda wasn’t included in the package or whatever the organizers got. (Oh yes, I’m a soda monster! Lulz) Oh well, the event was for a good cause anyway so I let that one slide.

Day 2

My humongous lunch from Hush House A Go Go. Lulz. I literally got scared when they served my food because it was huge. Even the people from across our table noticed it too and I kind of received some stares. Probably because, my lunch was too big for someone tiny like me. And it feels like I’m about to be accused of committing some act of gluttonous binge eating. You get what I mean, right? So yeah, the little attention got me rather self-conscious. I even overheard the kids from across our table saying something like that my lunch was prolly some sort of “challenge” or something to that effect. Just then their food arrived and they too were very much surprised as to how big their burgers were. So in my mind, I was like laughing deviously. And that was like my cue to return the stares. >:)

Dinner. Just salad and Chicken Alfredo Pasta.

One thing I like about Vegas is that you can legally drink alcoholic beverage (but of course there’s a limit on the alcohol content) while walking down the strip. Not that I drink often, but yeah that was a fun experience.

Again. I don’t drink often. And just for the fun of experiencing it me and my siblings ordered this $17 32oz daiquiri drink then we had it refilled for another $10. Loved it! I would’ve prolly drank all of it just that I get brain freeze each time I took a sip and that was actually kind of a bummer ‘cause it really hurts. Lulz.

Photoblog: Vegas!

Spent the weekend in Vegas. Didn’t really do much sightseeing on the strip since that was like my third or fourth time in Vegas and we’re too lazy to go on for a long walk plus it’s kind of windy that night. So we just ended up going to Aria ‘coz my BIL needed to get something for my sister for their anniversary. Then we walked around Planet Hollywood to get some drink. Did some window shopping so yeah that’s pretty much it.

The view from our hotel room.

Been awake since Friday noon. And now it’s Sunday and I just finished my second glass of Baileys on the rocks and I want more. Sleep is for the weak! Happy Easter everyone! =D (Taken with instagram)
